This Privacy Policy explains how CGPA Pro ("we", "our" or "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you visit gpascalculator.online and use our free CGPA, GPA and percentage calculators.

 Effective: 1 January 2026  Last updated: 16 May 2026

01 Introduction

Welcome to CGPA Pro, accessible at https://gpascalculator.online/. We provide free academic calculators including CGPA-to-percentage converters, GPA calculators, and other tools designed to help students convert grades for placements, higher studies, scholarships and government applications.

We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using gpascalculator.online, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Quick summary: Our calculators run entirely in your browser. We do not store, save or transmit your CGPA, grades, course names, or any academic data on our servers. All calculations happen locally on your device and are gone the moment you close the tab.

  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, exit pages, click patterns.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address (typically country, region, or city level — never precise location).
  • IP address: for security, fraud prevention, and analytics aggregation.
  • Date and time of visit.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, we do not collect or store any of the following:

  • Your CGPA, SGPA, GPA or any grades you enter into our calculators.
  • Course names, credit hours or any academic input you type.
  • Your university or institution affiliation (unless you choose to tell us via contact).
  • Your name, student ID, enrollment number or any personally identifiable academic information.
  • Payment information (our calculators are 100% free; we do not process payments).

03 How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate the website: deliver calculator pages, load assets, and ensure the site functions correctly across devices.

  • To respond to inquiries: if you contact us, we use your email and message to reply and provide support.
  • To prevent abuse and ensure security: detect spam, abusive traffic, and security threats.
  • To comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from authorities or comply with applicable law.
  • To serve relevant advertising: if we display ads (e.g., via Google AdSense), third-party ad networks may use cookies to show ads relevant to your interests — see Section 5 for details.

  • Get a warning before cookies are stored.

Disabling cookies may affect some functionality on the site. To opt out of personalised advertising, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), Your Online Choices (EU), or use Google's Ads Settings.

05 Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate gpascalculator.online. Each has its own privacy policy:

5.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you visit, time spent, and referring URLs. Google may use this data per its Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

5.2 Google AdSense

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar advertising networks. These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads relevant to your interests. 5.3 Web Hosting & CDN

Our website is hosted on commercial cloud infrastructure, and we use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to serve static assets quickly worldwide. Hosting providers and CDNs may temporarily log connection metadata (IP address, request URL, timestamp) for security and performance.

5.4 Fonts & Icons

We load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from FontAwesome via CDN. These services may receive your IP address when loading their assets. See the Google Privacy Policy and FontAwesome Privacy Policy for details.

06 Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any information we do collect, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our site.
  • Server-side security on our hosting platform, including firewalls and access controls.
  • Limited employee access to any contact data, restricted to those with a legitimate need.
  • No storage of calculator inputs: since CGPA, grades and credits never leave your browser, there's nothing to breach on our side.

That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

07 Data Retention

  • Calculator inputs: not retained — they exist only in your browser and are deleted when you close the page.
  • Contact form submissions: retained for up to 24 months for support and follow-up purposes, after which they are deleted unless required for legal or audit reasons.
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics' default settings (typically 14–26 months) and is generally aggregated/anonymised.
  • Server logs: typically retained for 30–90 days for security and operational analysis.

08 Children's Privacy

Our calculators are intended for students of all ages, including school and college students, many of whom may be minors. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent.

If you are under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU under GDPR), please do not submit personal information through contact forms or email without your parent's or guardian's involvement. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly.

Parents and guardians who believe a child has provided personal information without consent should contact us at the email below, and we will remove the information.
